Beautiful location, really nice Hotel with great facilities made all the better with just superb teachers, I learnt so much. So many smiling faces combined with very friendly atmosphere, couldn’t have wished for anything more. (Above echoed by our team of 4 from South Devon)

These especially planned Levels offer a unique opportunity to experience the highest level of instruction with a friendly and supportive group of a similar skill level. You will be expected to stay in the same Level throughout the weekend which will help to progress your social dancing.

We want EVERYONE to enjoy and get the most out of the workshops this weekend. This means being realistic and participating in the Level that is appropriate to your current level of WCS dance experience. Please respect and be fair to your fellow dancers. If you are struggling in a workshop you may not be at the right level for your current experience.

Teachers & DJs

Maxence Martin &
Virginie Grondin

Maxence Martin is the first French dancer to have obtained the title of Champion in West Coast Swing. He began his career in dance with Lindy Hop but quickly fell under the spell of WCS and began training in 2007 alongside the greatest. He soon established himself in the category of Champions.

Since then, he has travelled extensively sharing his knowledge and passion for WCS and was awarded the Best International Dancer Award at the Westie Awards Nominations ceremony in 2011. Maxence is an exceptional dancer and one of the most endearing and appreciated of his generation.

Virginie started dancing at the age of 5. Coming from Rock & Roll and Boogie, she evolved into solo dances, such as jazz and contemporary dance. She trained at the National Conservatory and continued her dance studies at University.

She discovered West Coast Swing in 2007 and quickly established herself in the community thanks to her previous training and her natural talent.

Virginie is currently one of the best West Coast Swing dancers in the world. She has reached the podium alongside Champions in the biggest American events such as Boogie By the Bay, Madjam, Swing Diego.

Maxence and Virginie joined forces in 2010 to create a wonderful partnership. Since then, they have travelled the four corners of the world to share their humour, their pedagogy and their passion for this dance. In 2015, they reached fourth place in the Classic division of the biggest international competition, placed in the biggest competitions in J&J and Strictly and teach at the largest events in WCS.

Emeline Rochefeuille &
Jakub Jakoubek

From the Czech Republic & Reunion Island, Jakub and Em took their first steps into the dance world at the age of 16 and 12, both starting with Ballroom Dancing (Latin, Standard & line-dancing). They were both hooked since they discovered West Coast Swing, and were especially drawn to the creativity, musicality, and freedom within the dance.

Their dance world is shaped around multiple influences such as urban dances, contemporary, modern, zouk or contact improvisation; both being eager to learn and assimilate new tools from other dance forms to expand their library of movement, expression and ways to connect.

J’Em story began in June 2016, as they were hired together by pure chance in a styling workshop run by Adam and Rita in Budapest. They have been traveling the world together ever since, flying from country to country to share their passion for dancing.

After 3 consecutive years being part of the top 10 finalists at the US Open Swing Dance Championships, they just placed 3rd in the Classic Division in 2022.

PJ Turner

PJ Turner is a much respected West Coast Swing dancer and teacher. He has had a lot of success in Jack & Jill competitions, and Strictly Swing divisions, showcasing his incredible talents in leading. He recently placed 2nd in the US Open Showcase Division 2023 with his dancer partner Mia.

Browly &
Inga Kurciša

A very warm welcome once again to Browly and Inga.

Browly fell in love with WCS in 2010 and began his new adventure, traveling throughout Europe taking workshops and intensive courses with some of the best known and most respected teachers of this dance.

Today, Browly is best known for his clear and logical technique classes, and students love how he approaches musical interpretation in the dance. Passing on technique in a simple, efficient way, but also his strong values of respect for partners and enjoyment of the dance.

Breaking down  “complicated concepts” into simple ideas with fun exercises makes it easier for students to communicate in the dance.

Inga has been dancing from the age of 6, developing her dance technique in different styles. After a short break, in her teenage years she returned to the same dance style, additionally taking classes in hip-hop and classic. After another break Inga returned to dancing Sport Line dance. During this time she got to know West Coast Swing and Line dance was put aside.

After a few years of teaching West Coast Swing, Inga realized she wants to dedicate her life to dance and began her dance education. During her studies, she took classes in hip-hop and classical dance, additionally learning Latvian folk dance, contemporary and jazz dance. During the last 4 years she has been part of Latvian folk dance, working with children from age 4 to 18 in one of the biggest childrens folk dance company in Latvia.

Olivier &
Virginie Massart

Olivier lives in Lyon but is originally from Belgium, but he says he has retained his Belgian Humour. He is the Event Director of WCS French Open and travels throughout Europe sharing his passion for WCS. Olivier is a very experienced teacher with a charismatic charm.

Virginie is from Lyon and works full time looking after her dance school. During the week, she still finds the time to be apart of Mov High and each weekend, she packs up her dance shoes and travels to West Coast all over. Her elegance and kindness is a perfect compliment to Olivier’s.

They have a friendly and engaging teaching style injected with humour which makes learning enjoyable and fun.

Kasia, has been focusing on social dances for more than 20 years. She’s gained experience in teaching children, teenagers and adults (some of them physically challenged) at various levels of advancement, as well as running courses for other dance instructors. She’s also the creator of the largest charity dance course in Lesser Poland (one of Polish voivodeships), attended by hundreds of students every year. She is also passionate about andragogy science.

As a teaching duo, Marcin and Kasia prove that absolutely everyone is capable of learning how to dance. They are well-known and appreciated for their positive energy and passionate approach to dance instruction, and also for teaching dance technique in an understandable way.
