Right over the sands of
Meia Praia beach
The Vila Galé Lagos hotel is located right over the sands of Meia Praia beach, in Algarve, with a sweeping view of the sea. Dedicated to fashion, this hotel in Lagos could not be more stylish. Its decor had the participation of renowned Portuguese designers such as Ana Salazar, José António Tenente, Miguel Vieira and Katty Xiomara, who offered original design pieces and pictures of their runway shows to “dress up” the Vila Galé Lagos hotel.

With a desirable year-round climate, the beach, sun and sea are the main tourist arguments of the Algarve. Along the Algarve’s 200 kilometers of coastline and 100 beaches, take the opportunity to enjoy surfing, body boarding, diving, sailing... either for fishing or simply sailing ... or for splashing in the region’s inviting waters. Or play golf on one of the 40 courses in the region, which is already considered one of the best in the world for practicing that sport.
At the table, feast on freshly caught - and freshly grilled - fish or fresh seafood. Satisfy the palate pleasures with stews and cataplanas, and enjoy finding out if the dessert is made with chocolate or carob, given its visual similarities, or try the almond and fig sweets. Other challenges: observing the typical Algarve chimneys - it is said that no two chimneys are the same - or exploring a different side of Algarve, a more inland one, along the Via Algarviana, a 300 km long pedestrian course between Alcoutim and Cabo de São Vicente, in Vila do Bispo, crossing several villages.

THEMES
The first theme night will be our usual 'White Night' and our 2nd the Fancy Dress Night which will be 'Grease' (the film). Wear something in the style of 50's small town America, think leather bomber jackets, drainpipe trousers, full skirts or pencil. Will you you be a 'T-Bird' or one of their rivals a 'Scorpion'? Either way, please take part and let's enjoy our Summer Nights, don't be a Beauty School Drop Out and the night will be a full on Greased Lightnin!

Matt Cox (MJ)Matt has won many tiltes in MJ in recent years and is an experienced teacher. He teaches for organisers in the UK and abroad and brings his unique, relaxed style along with his enthusiasm for the dance to his classes.
Matt is also a popular DJ playing inspiring, challenging and expressive music you can MJ, WC or Tango to. He runs his own, very successful dance events called Serene Dance in Maidenhead,and Nottingham,
Filipe de Barros (WCS)Filipe was honoured to play a part as a dancer at the spectacular London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony and has been awarded the "West Coast Swing UK" Dancers' Favourite Male Dancer Award three times in the annual vote!
Filipe helps and inspires people in dance, with a special focus on west coast swing and solo dance! He has influences in solo styles like commercial, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, dancehall and more.
He offers classes, private lessons & online coaching and also has a YouTube channel with tips and tricks for west coast swing & solo dance. Filipe is from London and now lives in Lisbon, Portugal
Nathan (Stokie) Jeffries & Julie Mowbray (Tango)Stokie is an international Tango instructor with ten years of teaching experience, during which time he has taught extensively throughout the UK and in Europe. Helping to found, run, and teach at the first ever Argentine Tango club in Staffordshire.
He has also taught at dance weekenders, dance holidays, and as a guest teacher at Argentine Tango clubs in the UK. All of this experience has allowed him to develop a unique approach and teaching style.
Julie comes from a background of ballroom and Latin. She started her Tango journey at Tango Northampton, going on to join the teaching team there where she gained experience teaching classes and workshops. She is now teaching Tango across the country with Stokie. She has a real passion for the dance, and the joy and confidence that it can bring.
